Legs waxed and ready to go!!!

Happy Day!!

A few of you have asked about 

TheArtfulLife Shoppe, that is really an 8x10 booth in a wonderful place called The Street of Shops in Lewisburg, PA, and how it's going.

Well, here are a few pics of how it's going...

It's a little sparse right now, but I'm working everyday to build something here.

I'm working hard to only display items that are handcrafted, altered, painted, touched by me in some way that it may take a bit to get it really full, but to me, it's worth it to create something special here.

To me, TheArtfulLife is about something out of the ordinary, a little personality, a whole lot of encouragement and some laughter mixed in. 

Little touches that help create an environment for something special.

I'm getting there.

Today, I'm working on some more uniques for the shoppe.

I found this chair that was a sad brown sitting alone in a corner of a thrift store.

no seat....no purpose.

A sweet creamy green paint, a bit of distressing and a wax finish...along with the addition of some black and white vintageee looking fabric.....,

A woven seated wonder was in the making...

It's easy.........a bit time consuming , but a fabric woven seat is a nice way to dress up a chair that probably had a caned seat once upon a time.

I'm so pleased at how she turned out!!!

So there she is...New life, New purpose, All dressed up, legs waxed and ready to head to the shoppe!!!
