Sunday, after an amazing worship service at church, my Hubby and I took a little drive to enjoy the day. We stopped by a winery that was a short drive away and stopped to explore the nooks and crannies of antique/flea market.
The makings of a perfect day.
I love spending time with this man. We had a great, relaxing day just talking and dreaming together and really living in a good moment, thanking God for His goodness.
I've been spending time doing things that, at one time, I was programmed to consider a waste of time.
Doodling in the backyard...
and investing time in working on our house adding and tweeking ....Investing in us and our environment.
So, I thought I might share a few projects with you...
I've never been in a Hobby Lobby store before and we have one here near our house.
Occasionally they will have an isle where they put goodies at 90% off.
and these plaques were there at $3.50 each.
I painted the dining room walls black. I've always wanted to do a black room and thought it needed a little architecture and dimension.
Easy Peezy project.
A little craft paint,...
dry brushed on the relief....
and hung on the wall....they look awesome.
Our foyer is painted this golden color and has sort of an old world looking tile on the floor. Since we've moved in, I've felt it needed some texture and warmth.
Here's a before...
After a few hours and a little glaze, instant age, history, and life.
I think we'll like it a lot better now.
I just couldn't make myself put a thing on the walls and now I think I can move forward.
Blessing to you!
